You Won’t Believe the Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn Crossover Lizzy Greene Wants
Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn is one of the best shows on Nickelodeon today, which is why we’re so obsessed with its young stars, Aidan Gallagher (Nicky), Casey Simpson (Ricky), Mace Coronel (Dicky) & Lizzy Greene (Dawn) IRL. So when we had the chance to chat with the Nick series’ leading lady, Lizzy, we obviously couldn’t pass it up!
At 12 years old, the Dallas-born blonde beauty is crushing it on the small screen, appearing on an episode of The Thundermans, on the TV short We Make That Lemonade & in the TV movie Damaged Goods all within the same year NRD&D premiered — that’s nuts! Two years after the show first aired, and she continues on the train to success, which is what makes her The Next Big Thing! To find out more about Lizzy & what’s to come on Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, you know what to do:
Season 2 of Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn has been hilarious. What kinds of action and funny scenarios can we expect to see pan out on the rest of the season?
“For Season 2, they really tried to write some shows that captured each quadruplet’s interests. In many episodes, the quads continue to compete to be the best at whatever the subject is at the time. We also have some crazy guest stars that are really funny! One thing that really stands out to me is in one episode they really transform the looks of each quad and it really crazy to see.”
Lizzy and her siblings have a constant love-hate relationship going on. Even when you’re not filming, do you, Aidan, Casey and Mace still act like siblings?
“We are like a family in a lot of ways because spend so much time together. We all have such different personalities and we compete and argue just like real siblings off set. But in the end, we are friends and really do care about each other. A simple board game can turn into a knockdown, drag-out war because we all want to be right. Ha! But we do really all get along.”
The second season will be wrapping up before we know it! It’s been an awesome season so far, but has there been one on-set moment in particular that was really funny or stands out the most?
“Something that really stands out to me Season 2 is Brian Stepanek directing an episode. It is not just like the others it is a tricky episode with a lot of detail. He made such an impression on our entire cast and crew because is so experienced with acting inside and out. We all had such a wonderful time with him in a different way than usual when he plays our dad because he knows all of us so well.”
Nickelodeon is home to a bunch of Nick TV show crossovers. If you could cross over with any other series on the network — past or present — what would you pick & why?
“SpongeBob!! I absolutely love that show. I would want to be the guy that pops in and out saying “My Leg” and I would love to play Sandy’s cousin.”
We loved the episode with Maddie Ziegler! What was it like working with her? Had you seen her on Dance Moms or in a Sia music video before she started?
“Yes, I had watched Dance Moms and seen one of her Sia videos. It was cool having her guest star on our show!”
Was it intimidating for her to be thrown into the cast??
“As far as dancing goes there was a little intimidation, but when we actually shot the show that went away. Maddie was very professional.”
Is there anything else that you want to share with your fans?
“Something that people never ask me about is our TV parents, Brian and Alison. I consider both of them my best friends and they are so professional at work. I feel honored to be on the same show with them and when they are shooting their scenes, I pay attention! They never get enough recognition and I feel they are the glue that holds our show together. I just cannot say enough about the two of them I love them. Also, one day, everyone is going to see that Carson (Squishy Paws) is the most talented canine in Hollywood. He is the bomb.”
