Little Mix Talks Spice Girls and Obviously One Direction with ‘Seventeen’
Last week, Seventeen revealed Lucy Hale as its June/July cover girl. Well, get this — the teen magazine’s giving you a double dose of girl power (actually, more like five times the dosage) because Little Mix is also taking over the glossy publication! In a Wal-mart exclusive special edition of 17, the “How Ya Doin’?” foursome dishes on everything you need to know before its DNA album hits shelves (May 28!), including the girls’ advice from Spice Girls and following One Direction‘s lead…
But first, let’s start off with Perrie Edwards‘ #1 rule for being in a girl band: “We all have each others’ backs and we’re always laughing. I think the secret is to just have fun and enjoy it while it lasts!
As for another UK pop sensation, Jade Thirwall spills on the advice LM received from the Spice Girls: “When we met the Spice Girls, Emma Bunton told us to keep being friends because that’s the connection fans love you for.”
Of course the winners of The X Factor couldn’t get away without chatting about 1D. (Perrie is dating Zayn Malik after all.) Leigh-Anne Pinnock says, “I asked the boys from One Direction how to make it in America and they basically said ‘Be yourself and you can’t go wrong. People know when you’re trying to be someone you’re not. Just be true to who you are.’ So that’s what we’ve been doing!”
