Liam Payne “Checked In” with Shawn Mendes After Hearing “In My Blood”
It goes without saying that Shawn Mendes and Liam Payne are two of the biggest names in the music industry right now. Shawn’s highly-anticipated Shawn Mendes: The Album coming out NEXT WEEK and Liam finally announced his first solo album, so it’s already looking like this is going to be a summer full of great music.
Although we love these two individually, we never thought they would cross paths except at the occasional Jingle Ball, and the former One Direction is making us think that a future duet could actually be a possibility.
The “Strip That Down” singer appeared on TRL and talked about the importance of artists sticking together and how he reached out to the 19-year-old after listening to “In My Blood” and we’re not crying YOU’RE crying.
While on the show, Liam said, “I think with this lifestyle if we don’t help each other there’s not much point to it” and when he heard Shawn’s new single he felt like he could hear the “slightest hint of sorrow” and wanted to “make sure it was all good.”

The father-of-one went on to say that he “just wanted offer that ‘if you ever have problem, dude, or something’s going on’ just call me and we can have a chat about it.” We seriously love that Liam is being so open about the importance of having friendships and being open about your feelings and we aren’t the only ones. It seems like fans can’t get over Liam’s words and honestly, we don’t blame them.
