It's been just over two weeks since the world was rocked by the news that Glee star Cory Monteith suddenly passed away in his Vancouver hotel room. Within that time frame, friends and family members have come out to talk about the person they once knew. Now, for the first time ever, girlfriend Lea Michele is breaking her silence too…

Under a picture (to the left) posted on the 26-year-old's Twitter page on Monday, she writes, "Thank you all for helping me through this time with your enormous love & support. Cory will forever be in my heart."

This comes just days after Cory's on-screen stepbrother, Chris Colfer, took to his Instagram page to talk briefly about the tragedy, saying: "I'll never forget all the laughs we shared or the faces we made after awkward interview questions. Love and miss you, buddy."

Soon after the star's untimely death, it was revealed that the cause was a combination of heroin and alcohol. But, despite the heartbreaking news, the show that made him a star still plans to return make its return with only a one-week delay. This is the official statement by FOX: "In light of the tragic passing of beloved Glee cast member Cory Monteith, the series' executive producers, 20th Century Fox Television and Fox Broadcasting Company have jointly decided to delay the start of production of Glee until early August. Season Five of Glee will now premiere on Thursday, Sept. 26 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX."
