Lea Michele Stands by ‘Glee,’ Season 5: “I’m Not Going Anywhere!”

Last time we heard about the future of Glee (at the 2013 Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour), it was reported that the show was in negotiations for a “fifth season and beyond.” Now, two months after the TCAs, the FOX dramedy’s fate is up in the air, but one of its stars is more than anticipating a return.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Lea Michele anxiously announces in an almost Rachel Berry-like manner, “I’ve heard of one formula for next year that is very exciting. I have an idea of what it is. It’s new and different than what we’ve done this year. You’ll still get to see both locations [– at McKinley and in New York –] because I’m still going to be on the show and so are the kids that are in high school. But who knows what the whole year will be or what the show will morph into throughout the year. It will be very exciting — and I’m not going anywhere!”

Like Lea, some Teen readers have also hopped on board of the idea of a season where all of the original members of New Directions have graduated: “Glee needs to come back! I love the characters and I love the show in general. Music is my life and I love that it is a good show as well as a good musical. They are insane if they get rid of it. It’s one of my favorite shows!”

But on a scale of 1-5, how much are you looking forward to another season of dual locations? Have you stopped watching the show already? Think Glee should quit while it’s ahead? Or are you all for S5? Share your Gleeky thoughts in the comments!
