Lauren Jauregui Wins Choice Female Hottie at the 2018 Teen Choice Awards
Lauren Jauregui steps out for the first time as a solo artist at the Teen Choice Awards and takes home, not one, but TWO surfboards!
The 22-year-old Fifth Harmony alum was nominated for two TCAs in both the Choice Electric Dance Song category and the Choice Female Hottie category. Now, you might remember when Bella Thorne took to social media a couple of weeks ago to boycott the TCAs because she thought that “A vote for the hottest is so gross. How about smartest?” Well, after that social media shade, all eyes were on that category last night to see who would win and what they would say… and when Lauren took the stage to accept it, she did NOT disappoint, saying:
“Thank you for thinking I’m hot and giving me that award, that’s really cool! I know that you chose it for my brain. I know that that’s why you did it. I know.”
Lauren also took home the surfboard for Choice Electronic Dance Song for her song “All Night” with Steve Aoki, beating out Marshmello & Anne-Marie, Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa, Topic & Ally Brooke, Clean Bandit & Demi Lovato, and Zedd, Maren Morris & Grey.
Looks like flying solo from 5H was the right call for Lau!
