Lauren Jauregui’s Mom Shades Camila Cabello for the Second Time in a Month
Ever since Camila Cabello joined forces with Shawn Mendes for “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” things seem to be awkwardly tense among the Fifth Harmony girls, as well as their family’s AND the 5H fandom.
Normani Kordei Hamilton supported fellow bandmates Lauren Jauregui and Ally Brooke when they were nominated for Latina‘s 30 Under 30 Award, but ignored Camila Cabello‘s nomination. Normani also gave Becky G a high five when she won an award, in front of Camila, which many thought to be a dig at the “IKWYDLS” singer because Becky was dating Cam’s ex, Austin Mahone, at the time.
More recently, Lauren’s mom, Clara Jauregui, showed her claws, and Harmonizers are taking notice. Here’s the scoop: At the 2016 MuchMusic Video Awards, Fifth Harmony nabbed two awards as a group, and Camila & Shawn nabbed two for their collaboration, making Camila the second-highest winner of the night behind Drake. So, naturally, her manager, Roger Gold, was proud of her accomplishments:

Clara took care to remind him why Camila’s so successful in a since-deleted tweet:

And this wasn’t even the first time Lauren’s mama took aim at the 19-year-old beauty. The day before 7/27 dropped, Camila applauded Ariana Grande‘s recent Dangerous Woman:

Soon after, this not-so-subtle shade was thrown:

Can’t we all just get along? Fifth Harmony’s album is doing SO well, and all the girls are exceptionally talented and successful — those are the things that matter!
Camila Cabello gets a lot of flack for going solo while still in a girl group. But she’s not the only fierce female to do that:
Camila's duet with Shawn Mendes shocked Fifth Harmony fans everywhere, because the last thing that we'd want is a split! But, for now, it looks like we're safe in 5H heaven, with Camila's song, "I Know What You Did Last Summer" being simply a side project with Shawn and not her new main project. What's going on with "Cinderella" has yet to be announced...
