Kristen Stewart Auctioning Off ‘Breaking Dawn — Part 2’ Premiere Gown For Hurricane Sandy Victims
Kristen Stewart might be a fashionista who wears plenty of high-end clothing, but above all else, she is certainly charitable. The 22-year-old actress is donating the nude Zuhair Murad gown she wore to L.A.’s Breaking Dawn — Part 2 premiere back in November, and is donating the proceeds to support victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Any time from now until December 20, you can bid on the stunning gown — that Kristen signed — over at CharityBuzz. However, it’ll cost you, as the current bid on the gown stands at $3,750 (and has a retail value of $7,500). It shouldn’t come as a huge surprise that Kristen is helping out, since she took part in the 12-12-12 concert which also befitted Robin Hood Foundation’s Sandy Relief fund, which will provide help to those who were affected by October’s devastating storm. In fact, Kristen flew specifically from L.A. to be in the concert in New Jersey because she felt so strongly about the charity event.
This stunning designer gown isn’t the only item that’s up for bid. Paul McCartney also took part in the 12-12-12 benefit concert, and is auctioning off a Fender bass guitar that is signed by not only him, but Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl, Coldplay‘s Chris Martin, Eric Clapton, Jon Bon Jovi and more. The current bid on this priceless piece of merchandise? $41,100! Though it’s pricey, it’s nice to know it’s helping a worthy cause.
Kristen isn’t just filling her time by being charitable, she also recently signed on to star in a new flick with Ben Affleck, called Focus. The comedy begins shooting in April, and Kristen said she’s “really excited about it.”
Work and charity? Looks like Kristen knows how to keep life balanced!
