Boo-Yah! Live-Action Kim Possible Movie Finds Two Lead Roles
There was a sitch, and Disney Channel handled it. There have been questions about who would play Kim Possible‘s two main character, KP and Ron Stoppable, in a live-action movie adaptation of the animated series ever since it was announced in early February. Riverdale‘s Madelaine Petsch was a fan-favorite, but the network decided to go with a newcomer instead.
Playing the role of the animated badass is 16-year-old Sadie Stanley, who happened to land the role after her first-ever audition. #GOALS!!
And as for the actor who will play Rob, Kim’s BFF-turned-boyfriend, the network announced that Sean Giambrone from The Goldbergs is the lucky young man.
“Sadie delivers Kim’s confidence, smarts, and agility; most importantly, she’s an everyday girl with an extraordinary spirit,” said Judy Taylor, senior vice president of casting and talent relations for Disney Channel. “Sean is such a magnetic actor; he always finds the right balance of physical comedy and heart. We”re excited for audiences to see Sadie and Sean bring these iconic roles to life.”
