Call us, beep us, if you want to reach us! But we might be a little busy because this news has legit taken over our lives. It was recently announced that a live-action Kim Possible movie is coming to the Disney Channel and as longtime fans of the show, we’re freaking the freak out!

A couple days ago, DC’s socials revealed that a live-action Kim Possible movie is coming into our lives. The photo in question was captioned, “Call me, beep me, if you wanna #KimPossible DCOM! Casting has just begun for live-action Kim Possible @DisneyChannelOriginalMovie. Who would you love to see play Kim?” BRB while we go dye our hair red and get into tip-top shape for the role!

Anyway, back to more serious matters: Who in the world will play Kim Possible? Now we’ve spotted different names being thrown into the mix by fans of the show. Many are saying that Riverdale‘s Madelaine Petsch would be the perfect Kim Possible. Not only are fans tweeting their vote for her, others are doing comparison pictures to prove their point:

Yara Shahidi has been mentioned multiple times to play either Kim or Kim’s friend, Monique; some have said Sophie Turner from Game of Thrones… To be honest, these are all some pretty great options. One user even suggested an all-female cast for the upcoming movie with some amazing suggestions:

The original series had over 80 episodes and two DCOM spin-offs, and was even nominated for an Emmy! So it makes total sense for the company to FINALLY get Kim Possible in on the live-action, well, action.

Not only are the original creators of the series coming back for the film, the original KP (a.k.a Christy Carlson Romano) told Entertainment Tonight that she was “so honored to be able to bring this strong, positive character to life and am excited to see her empowering message influence a new generation. That said, as an artist, there’s always a part of you that wants to stay connected to the character you helped originate. I’m hopeful they’ll do right by Kim and my legacy.”

And if you’re wondering who the OG KP thinks should play Kim Possible, Christy posted a photo to Instagram of her with her little girl and captioned it, “Obviously the next Kim Possible!” We’d totally be on board with that. As of right now there are no details on when this film will come out or who is being considered, but we will definitely keep you update.
