Kim Kardashian Believes Jeffree Star’s Changed After His Racist Comments

By  |

Jeffree Star‘s made great strides to empower the LGBTQ+ community. Earlier this year, the 31-year-old beauty guru even donated all the money made from one business deal to the LA LGBT Center.

HOWEVER, despite all the progress he’s made in some cases, like the aforementioned, he’s caused quite a stir over the years in other cases.

“After years of making excuses for, and rationalizing Jeffree’s inappropriate behavior (including promoting drug use, racism and bullying), I can no longer hold my tongue after recent events,” Kat Von D said in July 2016.

And if you thought, “Hey, that was over a year ago — let bygones be bygones,” then maybe an incident from June 2017 will make you see things a little differently. You know, the one in which the YouTube star referred to black YouTuber Jackie Aina as an “irrelevant rat.”

But, then again, maybe not ’cause, despite that whole debacle, Kim Kardashian still sticks up for the problematic YT star.

Recently, Jeffree criticized how the 36-year-old reality star swatched her powders. So, naturally, her fans were quick to defend her and bring up Jeffree’s racist comments. And Kim was not okay with that.

“I see you being so petty, bringing up things from his past where he, you know, was negative, but he’s also apologized for those things,” Kim explained in a video. “And I get it’s a serious deal if you say, like, racial things, but I do believe in people changing and people that apologize, I will give them the benefit of the doubt and accept, you know, that people change and move on.”

She continued, “I know better than anyone that I hate when people bring up my past or mistakes that I’ve made in the past, so let him live.”

“I wanna make one last thing clear: I do not defend people that are racist, and I’m very against it,” the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star added, “but if someone claims that they have changed, I would love to give them the benefit of the doubt and I pray to God that they do change for the sake of my children and my friends.”

“Don’t bring it up anymore,” she concluded her spiel.

Needless to say, Jeffree was here for Kim’s reaction. “I f*cking love @KimKardashian and was giving her sh*t earlier because I didn’t like how she swatched her powders,” he tweeted. “Doesn’t mean it’s bad.”

Considering Kim invited Jeffree to her exclusive party to celebrate her line of KKW Beauty products after the incident with Jackie, it’s not very surprising for her to stick by him now.
