Kim Kardashian Accused of Copying Kylie Jenner Eyeshadow Palette

By  |

There have been comparisons between Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner ever since the 20-year-old hit puberty. But now it’s actually the 37-year-old who’s being accused of copying her litter sister and — not gonna lie — we can definitely see where people are coming from.

Kim and longtime makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic recently revealed their much-anticipated KKW Beauty collaboration in honor of the 10-year anniversary of the first time they worked together. The KKWxMARIO collection includes an eyeshadow palette, a cream lipstick and two lip glosses and launches at 3 p.m. ET on April 5.

While the hype surrounding the launch is real, some people couldn’t help but get a feeling of déjà vu when they saw the promotional images because the eyeshadow palette is INCREDIBLY similar to Kylie Cosmetics‘ Royal Peach Palette, which was released over a year ago.

At first glance, the palettes look incredibly similar because they have the same shade range and feature a blue shadow as a pop. But all makeup collectors know that a neutral palette with a punch of a bright color isn’t anything new and many makeup brands outside the KarJenner world have released things similar in the past, too.

So, is Kim copying (or at least getting inspiration from) Kylie? Honestly…probably. But the sisters seem close enough that little things like that don’t bother them. Their cosmetics lines are both doing INCREDIBLY well, after all.
