After Much Speculation, Glee Actor Kevin McHale Reveals He’s Gay

By  |

Kevin McHale is done dropping those subtle clues that made fans speculate about his sexuality; he’s now throwing caution to the wind and saying it like it is — he’s gay!

The Glee alum officially came out as part of the LGBTQ+ community on Twitter last night in response to Ariana Grande‘s new song, “No Tears Left to Cry.”

He wrote, “#NoTearsLeftToCry is gayer than me and I ACCEPT. Ty @ArianaGrande.”

The 29-year-old’s admission comes less than a week after he posted an adorable picture of himself and rumored boyfriend Austin McKenzie cuddling on Instagram.

The speculation about Kevin’s sexuality really picked up after he uploaded a different pic of himself holding a man’s hand last month and captioned it with the American Sign Language (ASL) symbol for ‘I love you.’

Austin is an actor who performed in the Deaf West Theatre’s production of Spring Awakening and has a degree in ASL.

It took a lot of courage for the When We Rise star to be open about something so personal to him and fans were quick to show their support on social media.

Congratulations to Kevin for finally feeling comfortable enough to share his true self with the world!
