Kendall Jenner Dethrones Gisele Bundchen, is Highest-Paid Model of 2017
Say what you will about Kendall Jenner and the rest of the KarJenner family, but you have to admit those ladies know how to bring in a buck. The 22-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians was named the highest-paid model of 2017 by Forbes, earning — wait for it — $22 million in the last year alone.
KJ’s insane paycheck came thanks to many things, and not just modeling. The brunette beauty not only stars on KUWTK, which makes her a pretty penny, but she’s also the face of Estée Lauder, La Perla and Adidas. Let’s not forget that Kenny also co-owns the Kendall + Kylie clothing line with younger sister Kylie Jenner AND has a whopping 85 million followers on Instagram, which allows her to charge advertisers big bucks for her to promote their products. Top that all off with some major modeling gigs, including walking on the high-fashion runways of Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Fendi, Balmain and more, and you’ve got $22 million in just 12 months!
Kendall dethroned Gisele Bundchen, who has been the highest-paid model in the world since 2002. The 37-year-old still brought in $17.5 million in 2017, though, landing her the number two spot, so we’re pretty sure she’s not too upset that her title was snatched.
Pregnant Chrissy Teigen came in at number three on the list, earning $13.5 million in the last year.
Where do Gigi and Bella Hadid fall in the money department, you may ask? The 22-year-old made it to number five with $9.5 million earned in 2017 and the 21-year-old came in at number nine with $9 million.
Also making the top 10 is plus-size model Ashley Graham ($5.5 million) and Taylor Swift‘s bestie, Karlie Kloss ($9 million).
In total, the 10 highest-paid models made a whopping $109.5 million combined from June 1, 2016 to June 1, 2017.
