Kendall Jenner Faces Serious Backlash for Wearing Fur Coat on Runway

As the highest-paid model in the world, Kendall Jenner is asked to wear some interesting things on various runways across the globe. The 22-year-old walked in DSquared2’s runway Milan Fashion Week over the weekend, which should’ve been an incredible moment in her career. Unfortunately, the experience was met with mostly backlash and criticism because KJ strutted her stuff down the catwalk in a fur coat covering a satin dress.

The member of the KarJenner crew also showed off the jacket on Instagram, but turned off the comments because she was receiving so much hate.

“At a time when luxury brands from Michael Kors to Gucci are dropping fur, and following the news that Norway — one of Europe’s biggest fur producers — is joining the growing list of countries that are banning fur farming, people are rightly gobsmacked to see any label send a mountain of corpses down its catwalk,” PETA director Mimi Bekhechi said.

There’s no official word if the DSquared2 coat was actually made of real fur or not, but so far no one has said otherwise in the midst of all this backlash.
