Kendall Jenner Sues for MILLIONS After Company Pulls Shady AF Move
Kendall Jenner is, arguably, the most famous supermodel today; not one of the most famous supermodels — like her pals, Gigi Hadid, Cara Delevingne & Karlie Kloss — but THE most famous. So it makes perfect sense that companies want the 20-year-old to be the face behind their brands. But the Keeping Up with the Kardashians beauty is taking issue with one particular company… and is now engaged in a $10 million lawsuit!
Just ahead of Fashion Week, Kendall’s face has been spotted across New York on ads for skincare company Cutera. Here’s an example:
The advertisements boast about how acne “completely ruined” Kendall’s self-esteem, which she did admit to, and that “visits to a dermatologist for Laser Genesis (a treatment to help reduce redness and scars) has left her with nearly flawless skin.” The problem with the laser treatment ads is that Kendall never agreed to them!
The lawsuit states, “Cutera’s use of Kendall Jenner’s name and likeness is not, and never has been, authorized. Cutera has never sought Ms. Jenner’s permission to use her as a ‘face’ for its products and services, and Ms. Jenner has never given such permission.” The model, who is one of the newest faces of Calvin Klein underwear, is seeking no less than $10 million from any profits off of her image.
Obviously, Kendall is no stranger to lawsuits, considering she and her younger sister, Kylie Jenner, are involved in a legal battle regarding trademarked slogans on their PacSun merchandise. The difference, this time, is that Kendall doesn’t seem to be the one in the wrong.
