Kendall Jenner and Blake Griffin Are Reportedly Taking a Break
Talk about interesting timing. Blake Griffin was recently sued by his ex for palimony, claiming he left her and their two children high and dry to be with Kendall Jenner. The NBA star denies Brynn Cameron‘s claims, but coincidentally is now reportedly taking a break from his relationship with the 22-year-old.
A source tells People magazine that while the celebrities aren’t breaking up, they’re putting things on pause a bit.
“They’ve definitely cooled off and are taking things at a slower pace, but not because of any particular drama,” the source explains.
The 28-year-old used to play basketball for the Los Angeles Clippers, but was recently traded to the Detroit Pistons, meaning that he and KJ have to deal with a long-distance relationship.
The source continues, “He got traded and isn’t local anymore, so they’ve grown apart a bit just because of distance. They’re still involved.”
A different source told E! that Kendall and Blake still talk and aren’t ruling out a reunion in the future.
“Kendall and Blake talk and she has been to Detroit to see him, but the distance is a major factor,” says the insider. “He will be back in L.A. for the summer and its possible they could heat up again. For now, they are still in contact and not ruling anything out. Right now, it’s on and off and they still talk and see each other when their schedules allow it.”
While KJ could, technically, fly out to Detroit to be with Blake, she “wants to just stay at home for a while and chill out.”
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and professional athlete were first linked in August 2017 after they were seen grabbing dinner together in Los Angeles. Two months later, the pair made their relationship official and became a “full-on couple.”
