Kendall Jenner Responds to Trolls Who Criticize Her Acne at the Golden Globes

Kendall Jenner is a literal supermodel, but she has insecurities just like the rest of us. “I started having skin issues around the 8th or 9th grade,” she wrote on her app in October 2015. “But, where it really impacted me was how self-conscious I became about it. It completely ruined my self-esteem. I wouldn’t even look at people when I talked to them. I felt like such an outcast; when I spoke, it was with my hand covering my face.”

The 22-year-old has since gotten her skin under control, but still battles acne every once in a while. She recently had a bad breakout before she attended her first Golden Globe Awards and while most people thought she looked absolutely stunning (which, btw, she did), some critics called her out for having visible pimples on the red carpet.

KJ could’ve fired back at all the trolls, but instead she chose to reply to a fan who commended her for “showing up and strutting her acne” like she gave zero f*cks.

“Ok but @KendallJenner showing up and strutting her acne while looking like a gorgeous star is what every girl needs to understand,” the person tweeted along with a series of pictures of the model on the red carpet.

And Kenny replied, “Never let that sh*t stop you!” So freakin’ true!

Luckily, Kendall is now more confident in her skin, but she says “it wasn’t anything that happened overnight.”

She continued, “Even after things started to clear up, it took a solid amount of time to be okay with my skin and gain back my confidence…I realized that it’s a part of life for some people and it doesn’t define who you are.”

Many celebrities struggle with acne and it’s important to remember that pimples do NOT make you ugly…they’re just a part of life!
