This Year’s Super Bowl Just Got A Whole Lot More Exciting!

Whether you’re a fan of football or not, Super Bowl XLIX just got a whole lot more exciting! According to Billboard, Katy Perry will perform at this year’s Super Bowl halftime show on Feb. 1 in Glendale, AZ! Commence freak out — now!

An insider also told Page Six that “a deal is being hammered out for Katy to play the Super Bowl.”

Neither Katy nor the NFL have officially confirmed that the performance is definitely happening, but there has been speculation since August that she, along with Rihanna and Coldplay, was a top contender in the search. Although no one is 100 percent positive that KP is going to rock the stage, another insider told Page Six that it’s happening.

KP follows in the footsteps of Bruno Mars and Beyonce who respectively performed during the NFL’s biggest night for the past two years.

And although the 29-year-old hasn’t tweeted about the rumored halftime show, she did tweet about her involvement with College Game Day.

Verrrrrrry interesting….
