Katy Perry Fans, Get Ready for a Trip To “Cotton Candy Heaven”
Katy Perry is taking the world by storm — literally — in 2011 with her very first headlining tour, called, duh, “California Dreams”. And while the show doesn’t kick off until February 20th, Mrs. Russell Brand revealed some very juicy (and might we add delicious?) details about the tour to Rolling Stone.
Let’s just say if you’re going to one of her concerts, you’re probably going to want to save room for dessert…
Katy told the mag of her first headlining tour, led by the same director who worked on Pink‘s most recent tour:
“The show has a Broadway feel to it. It’s got a storyline that’s going to be very interesting, kind of loosely based on my life, but a cartoon version.”
Oh, but there’s more. Katy said:
“I have this whole thing in my show that is about candy and cupcakes and meat. It’s both really sweet and shocking, but not in a sexual way.”
Lastly, and here’s the kicker…
“It’s the first concert that’s going to smell good. It’s going to smell like you’re in cotton candy heaven. It’s a fun little nuance. I am a woman of detail, and you will be seeing that — even down to the 15 outfit changes I’m doing in concert.”
Ok, we really want to go to cotton candy heaven right about now. Don’t you? Head on over to Katy’s official website to check out when she’s coming to your town and to purchase tickets (if they’re still available, that is).
