One Year After Nina Dobrev’s TVD Shocker, ANOTHER Star Quits the Show
Just a few months after Nina Dobrev confirmed that she was leaving The Vampire Diaries, another one of the show’s stars began hinting that she wouldn’t be sticking around for much longer, either. Time went on, however, and there was no word on the exit-front, so fans assumed that the rumors of Kat Graham’s departure were simply untrue. Well, you know what happens when you assume…’cause, unfortunately, the 26-year-old star just confirmed the news the entire TVD fandom feared.
“Season 8 will be my last season,” Kat told Us Weekly at the iHeartRadio Music Awards over the weekend.
As expected from someone who’s been on one show for so many years, Kat knows her exit will be extremely tough.
“I just hope that whatever I do after, the crew can come with me. If the crew can come with me, then we’ll be good. The crew is going to be the hardest thing to let go, because we are a family.”
We know you’re currently freaking the eff out (and we are, too), but we want to remind you that season 7 of TVD isn’t even over year, so you still have a lot more time with Bonnie Bennett. And, in Kat’s words, they’re “going to blow [season 8] out.”
Side note: Did anyone else notice the creepy coincidence of Kat’s announcement? Nina revealed she was leaving TVD on April 7, 2015. Want to quickly peep today’s date? Weird; it’s almost exactly one year later. *chills*
