The Kardashian Family Taking Blac Chyna to Court Over Lawsuit
The legal drama between the Kardashian family and Blac Chyna is nowhere NEAR over. In fact, it’s basically just getting started.
The 29-year-old previously sued Kim Kardashian West, Rob Kardashian and Kris Jenner for allegedly causing E! to cancel the second season of Rob & Chyna, which made her lose out on millions of dollars. The KarJenner family, however, just filed a demurrer, or “an objection that an opponent’s point is irrelevant or invalid,” asking a judge to dismiss her suit.
People magazine reports that the famous fam submitted the legal documents on December 21 and allege that Chyna was the one who prevented filming from happening when she filed a domestic violence restraining order against Rob back in July.
According to the demurrer, “Given Plaintiff’s conduct in seeking and obtaining a restraining order that required Rob to stay away from Plaintiff and her workplace, no trier of fact could possibly find that it was reasonably probable that a second season of Rob & Chyna would have been picked up and filmed.”
TMZ reports that BC is LIVID over her ex’s family’s decision to fight the lawsuit, claiming that she’s being victim-shamed.
“Chyna says she was in fear for the safety of her and her daughter, and women should not lose jobs just because they try to protect their family from violence,” the site writes.
While the mother of two did initially hit Rob with domestic abuse allegations, she eventually dropped them after he agreed to pay her $20k a month in child support. This decision will allegedly be part of the KarJenners’ argument when they go to court in January because, according to source, they think if she actually felt threatened she wouldn’t have dropped the restraining order as soon as a hefty paycheck came into the picture.
Chyna’s attorney, Lisa Bloom, feels “confident that [they] will prevail in court.”
