Justin Bieber Debuts New Japanese Tattoo at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards
While everyone’s been gushing over Justin Bieber‘s hot Teen Choice Awards mash-up, barely anyone seems to notice that TCA surfboards aren’t the only thing the Biebs has been racking up lately. But if you take the time to zoom in on him on the pink carpet, you may realize something new: another fresh tattoo. Yes, although JB did rake in a considerable amount of awards at this weekend’s ceremony — four, to be exact — he was just spotted with his seventh piece of ink.
One question, though. When did this happen?! Last time Bieber talked tattoos was about a month ago on Late Show with David Letterman, where David physically (but playfully) attacked Justin for inking himself again — and he only had six at the time! He’d just gotten the word “Believe” on his left arm, then there was the bird on his hip, a star on his elbow, ‘Jesus’ written in Hebrew on his ribcage, an image of Jesus on his leg, and praying hands on his other leg. The last time he was reportedly snapped sans the new symbol was on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on June 27. At this rate, maybe he’ll even beat Miley Cyrus (who currently has 15 tats of her own) one day.
But enough about the shock of his new characteristic. Instead, here’s what we know about it: Placed proudly on his right forearm, opposite “Believe,” Justin engraved the Japanese kanji for music. You know, his first love. (Sorry, Selena. Maybe next time you can get matching ones!)
