Fans Think Justin Bieber Threw Shade at Shawn Mendes in “No Brainer”
Fans are convinced that Justin Bieber threw shade Shawn Mendes‘ way in his latest song “No Brainer.” But if we can be honest for one second here, Justin already has the girl, for what reason would he have to be shady towards a fellow Canadian?? But that’s just how we feel.
So here’s the deal, the Biebs released a brand new banger over the weekend and it didn’t take long for fans to start theorizing the meaning behind his newest track with DJ Khaled, Quavo, and Chance the Rapper. While we’re like, 99 percent sure “No Brainer” is about his fiancée Hailey Baldwin, especially because of this line, “You stick out of the crowd, baby, it’s a no-brainer,” other fans of the song are pretty certain that JB lowkey dissed the “In My Blood” singer on the track. Mainly because of the lyric, “It ain’t that hard to choose/ Him or me, be for real, baby, it’s a no-brainer.”
The theory behind this “Him or me, be for real baby, it’s a no-brainer” line is that Justin is saying there’s a right choice between himself and this mystery guy and that picking the Biebs is the obvious choice (a.k.a.a no-brainer).
While JB did NOT name this mystery man, some fans on Twitter were quick to suggest that Justin was shading Shawn – mainly because Shawn WAS the last guy linked to Hailey before she said yes to the singer’s proposal.

@justinbieber is jealous of Shawn. He’s throwing shade @ShawnMendes because Shawn is more successful in life than Justin is and is a much better person than bieber will ever be. But seriously tho.Ur new song. Need to grow up Justin!
RT IF IM RIGHT.#MendesArmy

Wow. That last user clearly feels some type of way about Justin possibly coming for their fave.
Anyway, while some fans feel like there’s some shadiness going on, we do have to point out that this is a DJ Khaled song and that Justin *is* a featured artist on it. Soooo, the chances of the Biebs actually writing the lyrics are pretty slim.
