Justin Bieber vs. Carly Rae Jepsen For Juno Artist of the Year: Who Should Win?

By  |

Justin Bieber basically helped put Carly Rae Jepsen and her infectious pop tune “Call Me Maybe” on the map, but it looks like these two are duking it out for a coveted award. The singers are each snagged Juno nominations for Artist of the Year, and in case you didn’t know, the Junos are basically Canada’s equivalent to the Grammys. And since we know JB got pretty much snubbed by the Grammys this year, this is exciting news.

So what’s their competition like? They’re up against DJ Deadmau5, as well as singers Johnny Reid and Leonard Cohen. Also, JB and CRJ are each nominated for Album of the Year and Pop Album of the Year for Believe and Kiss, respectively. However, Carly managed to snag a nomination for Single of the Year thanks to “Call Me Maybe,” while Justin didn’t score a nom for any of his singles. Speaking of, CRJ announce that her newest single off Kis going to be “Tonight I’m Getting Over You,” with the video dropping on February 22!

Now, we love them both, so it’ll be a close call as to who should win what. Which is exactly why we want to know what YOU think! Who deserves to snag some Juno awards when the awards show happens on April 21? Cast your vote in the poll!
