Julia Goldani Telles Drops Out of After Movie Days Before Filming Begins
The After movie based on Anna Todd‘s best-selling fanfiction-turned-novel is set to start filming in just over a week, but there’s been quite the wrench in plans. Julia Goldani Telles, the actress who was set to play lead role Tessa Young, announced last night that she will no longer be a part of the film due to “scheduling issues.”
The 23-year-old actress wrote on Instagram, “To the dear After fans, I’m so moved by all the support you’ve given me on this journey. THANK YOU. I’m very disappointed to share that scheduling issues have arisen + I will no longer be able to play the role of ‘Tessa.’ I will be right there with all of you, excitedly awaiting the movie. Love always, Julia.”
Producer Jennifer Gibgot and Anna herself confirmed, however, that this casting change will not hinder production and the movie is still set to start filming on July 16. In fact, they already found the actress who’s going to take over the role of Tessa and she’s in Atlanta rehearsing with Hero Fiennes-Tiffin, the actor who’s playing Hardin Scott.
