Josh Hutcherson Stands by Jennifer Lawrence Post-Nude Picture Scandal
Emma Watson and Lena Dunham aren’t the only celebrities rushing to defend the victims of the widest-spread naked picture scandal in Hollywood history. Josh Hutcherson‘s coming to the rescue, too!
In an interview with ET Canada during the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival, the 21-year-old actor stood by his Hunger Games costar, Jennifer Lawrence, post-nude photo leak, “Actually I haven’t talked to her, but I just think all that stuff is so ridiculous. We’re people too, man, we just want to live, we want to be normal people, it’s not fair.”
Remember, Josh had his own nude picture scandal back in 2013. So when asked how he handled all of it, he said, “I think everyone has their own way of getting through it. It’s something you obviously don’t want to happen to you and it’s really unfortunate that it happens, but I don’t know, I hate the way the world sort of views those sorts of issues. It’s really truly not fair.”
He continues, “We are actors, we didn’t get into this because we wanted scandal. We want to live our lives and be actors and, like, Jen and I always say… People say, ‘Well, you chose to be an actor, you are going to have to deal with this kind of thing’ Well no, I started when I was 9 years old she started when she was, like, 12. We didn’t choose to have public scandal, we chose to become artists of acting and I love making movies, this is what I can do, this is what I am good at. So it’s like, because this is what I am good at and this is my career means I also have to suffer on this other side? Like, it’s not very fair.”
