Josh Duhamel to Host the 2013 Kids’ Choice Awards

After his days on TV drama Las Vegas, Josh Duhamel truly increased his standings among younger audiences. From acting alongside Shia LaBeouf in three Transformers films to portraying characters in New Year’s Eve and this year’s romantic film, Safe Haven, he’s really making an impression on the teen scene. So it should come as no surprise that he will be hosting the 2013 Kids’ Choice Awards.

Yes, it was just announced that Fergie‘s husband, who “has already been inducted into Nickelodeon’s Arm Fart Hall of Fame and showered in green goo,” is taking on the role previously filled by Will Smith, Jack Black, Justin Timberlake and more. In a statement given to Us Weekly, Josh says, “Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards is a great event that celebrates kids by honoring their opinions and taps into the kid in all of us. I have a lot of secret plans for when I host the awards, but I can tell you I’m excited to lead millions of kids into total crazy fun, chaos… and, of course, endless slime!”

Executive Producer Marjorie Cohn adds, “Josh has come out to play before for Kids’ Choice and as a previous ‘best arm fart’ winner we know he’ll do what it takes to be a great host. We promise that this year will deliver the special, one-of-a-kind surprise-filled slimefest for which our annual telecast is famous.”

Catch Josh and more of your favorite celebrities at the 26th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 8p ET on Nickelodeon.
