Joe Jonas’ Home Nearly Falls Victim to Burglary While He’s Away in Australia
Joe Jonas can breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that his home did NOT fall victim to a burglary last week… but it could’ve if things worked out just a little bit differently.
On Thursday, February 8, an unidentified person was spotted messing with the security cameras outside the 28-year-old DNCE member’s home in San Fernando Valley, California around 9pm. Fortunately, the perpetrator triggered the alarm, alerting Joe’s crew. Unfortunately, the perp fled the scene and has not been caught.
At the time of the attempted crime, the Jonas Brothers alum was in Sydney, Australia, seemingly having the time of his life:
So far, he’s made no mention of the near break-in.
Last summer, Joe’s friend/ex-girlfriend, Demi Lovato, experienced a similar incident. According to TMZ, an unidentified man wearing all-black attire and a baseball cap “scaled the security gate just before midnight Tuesday at Demi’s Hollywood Hills home.” The man reportedly had a ladder on hand, and made it all the way to her balcony.
THANKFULLY, there were guard dogs at the scene; guard dogs that furiously barked at the time of the near-invasion. Soon after, the 25-year-old “Échame la Culpa” singer’s house manager walked over to the balcony and, apparently, saw the criminal peering through the Sonny with a Chance alum’s bedroom window. The manager immediately called the police and left.
As in Joe’s case, the criminal was not captured and may still be at large. Imagine if it’s the same person!
