After a Terrifying Week, a YouTube Star Mourns the Tragic Loss of a Loved One
Less than a week ago, Philadelphia native Jesse Wellens, known for his YouTube prank videos, requested his followers keep an eye out for his mom after sharing the scary news that the woman had been reported missing. After experiencing a real-life nightmare for nearly a week, his longtime girlfriend and one half of their PrankvsPrank YouTube channel, Jeana Smith, took to Twitter to share the devastating news that Jesse’s mother had been found dead.

Over the weekend, Jeana shared updates on the search for Stella Hayes Wellen over YouTube. From them, fans learned that Jesse’s grandmother had passed away two weeks prior, and Jesse’s mom, who also suffers from depression, had been devastated by the loss. As a result, the pair was worried that his mother was contemplating suicide.
This was the last update that we heard, until yesterday when the sad news that Stella passed away was confirmed. Jesse, who has understandably remained pretty quiet, did share a heartfelt tribute to his mom via Twitter, saying:
I love you mom
