Jennifer Lawrence Announces That She’s Taking a Break from Acting
Better make sure you head out to see Jennifer Lawrence in mother! (out in theaters today), ’cause it sounds like it’ll be one of the last times you’ll be able to see her on the big screen for quite some time.
While promoting her new horror film, written and directed by boyfriend Darren Aronofsky, the 27-year-old Oscar-winning actress revealed that she’s going on a bit of a hiatus.
“I’m taking [a break],” the Hunger Games alum told Savannah Guthrie on The TODAY Show. “I don’t have anything set for two years.”
What she plans to do with all of her newfound free time is unclear, but as for possible hobbies, J.Law joked that maybe she would “start making pots.”
Currently, Jen’s IMDb boasts three movie titles after mother!: Bad Blood, which, as of June 2016, is meant to feature the blonde beauty as Elizabeth Holmes, founder of the controversial blood-test company Theranos; Red Sparrow, tapped to hit theaters on March 2, 2018; and X-Men: Dark Phoenix, which is currently filming.
