Jeffree Star is Donating All Money Made From One Business Deal to LGBT Center
Jeffree Star may be problematic, but he’s definitely consistent. The 31-year-old has, since the very beginning of his YouTube career, never used an affiliate link for any brand, even his own, because he didn’t want fans to think his opinions were biased in any way. The beauty guru recently had a change of heart and announced that he’d be offering viewers a discount code for Jouer Cosmetics, but he’s still sticking to his guns about not letting brand affiliation sway his opinions.
“I asked Jouer if I could donate all the money that I’m making from the code to a charity,” he explained.
The company was, of course, on board with his plan, so the YouTuber decided to give 100 percent of any profits earned from the affiliate link “to a charity that [he] believe[s] in” — the Los Angeles LGBT Center.
According to the Center’s website, it has, “since 1969…cared for, championed, and celebrated LGBT individuals and families in Los Angeles and beyond.”
“We are an unstoppable force in the fight against bigotry and the struggle to build a better world, a world in which LGBT people can be healthy, equal, and complete members of society.”

Normally we aren’t fans of YT stars who suddenly go against what they once stood for, but we give JS major kudos for being so generous to an amazing cause.
Fans don’t think they can trust these YouTube beauty gurus anymore:
Ingrid Nilsen (missglamorazzi)
After scrolling through the Reddit thread about YouTube beauty gurus who can't be trusted, one person that came up frequently was Ingrid.
"She will film a 'get ready with me' video that easily has 30 products in it, and she'll act like she really does use each product every day," curryo said. "Then a month later she'll have a new one for her bedtime routine with an almost entirely different set of products."
Another Redditer named ladyluck11 agreed with this point, and mentioned how Ingrid once "spent a lot of time talking about Whitening Lighting...which is funny because she also said she only uses that product maybe once a year."
Seems a bit shady, if you ask us...
