One of Your Favorite Vine Stars Just Publicly Came Out as Queer

A lot of people have used YouTube or Twitter to publicly speak about their sexuality, but Jay Versace used another form of social media to come out. The 18-year-old Vine comedian has gotten questions about his sexual orientation since he rose to fame on the video app, and he finally decided to address them.

“I love people in general idgaf what gender you are.. there it is.. hate me for it.. idgaf.. love me for it.. love you more,” he wrote on on Snapchat recently, along with a heart Emoji.

Shortly after her came out as pansexual, the Viner also posted a tweet expressing his relief in finally opening up.

Although he didn’t use a specific term for his sexuality in his coming-out Snapchat, it can be assumed that he is panseuxal, which means you are “not limited in sexual choice with regard to biological sex, gender, or gender identity.” In other words, you see the person, not their gender.

Last summer, Miley Cyrus also came out as pansexual.

“I’m pansexual,” she told Elle UK. “I am literally open to every single thing that is consenting and doesn’t involve an animal and everyone is of age. Everything that’s legal, I’m down with. Yo, I’m down with any adult — anyone over the age of 18 who is down to love me. I don’t relate to being boy or girl, and I don’t have to have my partner relate to boy or girl.”

Congratulations to Jay — we are so happy for you!
