9 Celebrities Devastated by the Tragic Passing of One of Their Friends
Ugh, the sad news just keeps coming. In the midst of Fifth Harmony’s Normani Kordei Hamilton coping with the loss of a loved one, several other big-name celebrities have been mourning the death of someone else near to their hearts, as news broke that a beloved musician, songwriter and producer, Jason “Gavi” Gaviati, passed away over the weekend.
Gavi, who had been battling lymphoma, was considered to be in remission at the time of his passing; yet, on Saturday, news of his tragic death became public after his GoFundMe medical page reported that the musician had gone into cardiac arrest and sadly passed shortly after.
A powerful force in the musical world, several musicians, like former Camp Rock star Alyson Stoner and Faking It’s Katie Stevens, showed their love for Gavi on social media.

Gavi, you touched every life. You are the greatest person who has ever walked this earth. You might be gone from my sight, but you are in my heart forever. I know you will always be with me, supporting me and loving me from heaven. I will never stop loving you. I'll smile thinking of your face and all of the beautiful memories of our friendship. I can't promise not to cry, because I will miss everything about you. Your laugh, your hugs, our jam sessions, our heart to hearts, and the warmth of your smile and spirit.. and so much more. But I promise to live life as you would, showing kindness and love to everyone I come across. You taught me to be a better person. I miss you. I love you forever and ever babe. @imgavi

I wrote my first full length album with Jason Gaviati and Andrew Dixon. The two of them together encouraged and supported me and made me feel like I had a voice worth sharing at a time where I felt like I was drowning in the new & scary city of Los Angeles. Gavi is one of the most talented people I have ever met and he has the kindest soul. I learned so much from him. And I'm so incredibly proud of who he is. The world is so lucky to have heard his music and share his smile from so many stages around the world. The last time I spoke with Gavi, he encouraged me to pursue my dreams and follow wherever my heart takes me. I can't believe he's gone. The songs we wrote together are some of my very favorites. I will carry him in my heart. Always. Love you Gavi @imgavi #wearegavi
Our thoughts go out to all the family and friends of Gavi during this very difficult time.
