Jake Paul is Reportedly Going to Host a New Talk Show on YouTube Red

Jake Paul is one of the most controversial people on YouTube, so clearly the best thing to do at this point is give him a talk show. (Please note the sarcasm, people.)

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 21-year-old is developing a talk show with YouTube Red. Not many details are known at the moment, but Jake is allegedly going to host and executive produce the program, which will have a “late-night variety show feel.”

“Last year, we engaged in early development deals with a handful of YouTube creators as part of our normal process to evaluate new creative ideas,” a YouTube spokeswoman said yesterday in a statement confirming the project. “There is no series order currently in place.”

The pilot could start filming as early as May.

Jake recently traveled to Parkland, Florida, the location of a February school shooting that left 17 students and teachers dead. The Disney Channel alum met with survivors of the massacre to better understand what happened that day and also had a Skype call with Senator Marco Rubio to discuss gun reform.

“Can you explain some of the struggles around passing laws?” the blond asked the republican.

Mr. Rubio give a pretty confusing answer (if you can even call it that) and basically avoided the question. He accepted thousands of dollars from the National Rifle Association (NRA) during his campaign trail, so perhaps that’s why he kept the response vague.

JP finished the video by promising to donate $25,000 so he can “help be a part of this cause.” He then tweeted a list of five “gun reform changes” the United States needs.
