Jake Paul Says He’s Going to “Forget All the Negative Press” During TCA Speech
Oh, Jake… Jake, Jake, Jake, Jake, Jake… What are we gonna do with you?
It’s been quite a summer for Jake Paul. Last month, his neighbors threatened to file a lawsuit against him, plus he and Disney Channel came to a “mutual agreement” for him to leave his series, Bizaardvark. Then, this month, he greeted a foreign fan with a racist ~joke~. So you can bet that many members of the public were FUMING after learning that he’d be performing at the first Teen Fest… oh yeah, and hosting, too!
Miley Cyrus couldn’t make it last night — but don’t worry, Jake Paul was there to come to the rescue, along with his fellow Team 10 members. The crew performed “It’s Everyday Bro” in front of a crowd of people, and the performance was… interesting, to say the least. At one point, Jake actually dropped his microphone… and fell. (It’s not known whether either was on purpose.)
At another point in the night, Jake’s ~wife~, Erika Costell, presented him with his awards for Choice Music Web Star and Choice YouTuber.
“The past few months have humbled me quite a bit,” he said in his acceptance speech, “and I have to be more mindful of my actions and words and how they impact others. It’s been a crazy journey, and I just want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart. I’m gonna forget all the negative press and focus on being the best version of myself.”
Note that he did not specifically apologize, but that’s how many interpreted his words.
Nevertheless, there are plenty of people who were not pleased with his attendance:
Jake Paul: The next step for me is to forget all the bad press, drama, negativity, and focus on being my true self.

This isn’t the first time the 20-year-old YouTuber “apologized.” Remember, he delivered a half-a** apology in his “YouTube Stars Diss Track” music video.
