Fans Think Taylor Swift’s New Song Confirms Jake Gyllenhaal Cheated

It’s been several years since Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal dated, but the 28-year-old’s new song with Sugarland seemingly sheds new light on the relationship. The 28-year-old wrote the country group’s latest single, “Babe,” with Patrick Monahan from Train back when she “was making the Red album.” While it’s technically not her tune, the words are from her heart… which is why fans think it’s her way of admitting the 37-year-old cheated on her while they were together.

The lyrics of the second verse say, “Your secret has its consequence and that’s on you, babe / I break down every time you call / We’re a wreck, you’re the wrecking ball / We said no one else, how could you do this, babe?”

The tune then continues, “Since you admitted it, I keep picturing / Her lips on your neck, I can’t unsee it / I hate that because of you, I can’t love you, babe / What a shame, didn’t want to be the one that got away / How could you do this, babe?”

Sounds a bit like she’s talking about infidelity there, eh? Fans sure think so and aren’t too thrilled with the Stronger actor at the moment.

T.Swift hasn’t spoken out about the song’s meaning yet, but seeing as Red has some classics like “All Too Well” and “The Moment I Knew,” which are widely agreed to be about Jake, on it, we have a feeling Swifties’ assumptions are on the right track.
