But a month can seem like a long freaking time when you’re waiting for a masterpiece like this to hit theaters. So until then, we’ve got you covered with some
in-depth fan theories that you can obsess over all through April. You’ll probably need the next four weeks to wrap your head around them, anyway.

Captain America will die.
Chris Evans told the , "You want to get off the train before they push you off," we've been nervous AF. And after watching the most recent New York Times Infinity War trailer, fans are pretty sure this is the movie he's dying in.
They even think that they know when it'll happen! He
is seen in the trailer trying to hold his own against the flick's villain, Thanos, and it's unclear whether he'll be able to come back from a moment like that. But while we know he wants to spend more time offset with his fam where he's happiest, we'll be SO sad to see him go if this is true.

Adam Warlock will make an appearance.
It's no secret that the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy will be working together in
Infinity War, but fans have hoped that Adam Warlock would make an appearance since the second installment of GotG was released last year. That's because, in a scene that played after the credits, viewers got a glimpse of a cocoon that can only be linked to one superhero — the artificially created Adam Warlock, who was born inside of it in the comics.
Unfortunately, the director of both
Guardians of the Galaxy movies destroyed that theory in a Facebook Q&A. "Adam Warlock will not be in Infinity War," he said. "He will have a future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But will it be in Infinity War? It will not."
Still, that hasn't stopped fans from hoping he'll show up for a cameo anyway.

Someone is a Skrull.
Rumor has it that when
Brie Larson hits theaters as Captain Marvel, her character will be facing Skrulls. Never heard that name before? Don't worry — we'll clue you in! Skrulls are alien shapeshifters and fans think that if they're going to play such a major role in that upcoming movie, seeds will have to be sown in Infinity War.
So which of the Avengers do you think might secretly be a Skrull? Everyone's casting their votes. Whether you think it's Black Widow or General Thunderbolt Ross, just remember this — there may be more than one!

The Infinity Stone is in Heimdall.
Take a long look at those eyes and then get a load of this! Heimdall can see across the realm with his glowing orange eyes, which has led people to believe that he's got the Soul Stone, one of the six Infinity Stones.
And the fact that he was blind in a vision Thor had in
Avengers: Age of Ultron only helps this fan theory along. Why? Because it's possible that Thanos will rip Heimdall's eyes out to get to the Soul Stone, rendering him blind. Sounds a little gory if you ask us, but we wouldn't put it past Marvel to make this happen!

Pepper Potts will die.
As you'll see in a sec, most of the theories on this list revolve around who is going to die by the time the film ends. And — warning! — fans are anticipating a
lot of deaths. It makes sense, considering the architect of the MCU, Kevin Feige, reacted to criticism that Marvel brought characters back from the dead too often. "Be careful what you wish for," he said in an interview. Entertainment Weekly
Since Tony Stark is seen in the trailer kissing a dirty, or maybe bloody hand, fans are theorizing that it's the hand of his love interest Pepper Potts — and she's dead.

Tony Stark has the Soul Stone.
We may know where five of the six Infinity Stones are, but where the heck is the Soul Stone at? There are soooo many fan theories about it, but this is a pretty popular one. In some
Infinity War promo art, each stone is pictured with the superhero that is affiliated with it — so why is Robert Downey Jr. with the orange one?
Fans are speculating that this means the Soul Stone is somewhere in Iron Man's chest, a.k.a. in his reactor. His father
did tell him in Iron Man 2, "What is and will always be my greatest creation, is you." Does that mean Tony was made from the stone?

Hela is behind it all.
We don't think anyone will argue with us when we say that Thanos is clearly evil. But besides
that, what's his motivation in this movie? Most people think that Cate Blanchett's character, Hela, is the one responsible for his villainous actions.
Considering the self-proclaimed Goddess of Death is just as evil as Thanos and we don't know if she
truly died for good in Ragnarok, she seems like the perfect love interest for Thanos. Talk about a power couple!
Whether she teams up with him, uses him for her own good, or ultimately turns him down, we are really hoping that Hela makes an appearance.

Jeremy Renner will play Ronin.
If you didn't see
Jeremy Renner in the Infinity War trailer, don't bother looking for him again — he's not there! But before any of you Hawkeye fans start freaking, take heart because the 47-year-old actor has confirmed that he is, in fact, going to be in the long-awaited film.
But here's the catch — he might not be playing Hawkeye! Instead, fans are speculating that he'll become Ronin, just like his character does in the comics. For those of you who don't know who Ronin is, he's basically a masterless hero. A lone warrior, one might say! Excited yet?

The Inhumans will show up.
We think this theory was more wishful thinking than anything — although who was wishing for the cast of this low-rated show to be in
Infinity War is beyond us. Inhumans may have premiered last year as a TV series, but Infinity War is going to limit any and all character appearances to those from MCU movies, not shows.
At least, according to this
interview with directors Bad Taste Joe and Anthony Russo. "Anything is possible in the Marvel Universe," they said. "It's certainly something we're considering. But our focus is on telling the stories of the characters that currently exist on the movie side."
But hey, they
did say that anything is possible, so who knows?

Doctor Strange will use the Time Stone.
Hold on tight, guys, because this theory is pretty in depth. For starters, we all know that Doctor Strange is in possession of the Time Stone, right? It's held inside of the Eye of Agamotto amulet he wears. And while it seems inevitable that this will be taken from him by Thanos at some point, fans are speculating that the Sorcerer Supreme will have it back by the end of the movie.
Why? Because he can use it to turn back time, save some dead superheroes, and kill Thanos! Sounds like a crazy cool ending, no? But we guess only time will tell — pun

Captain Marvel will show up at the end.
Just because Brie Larson is going to be Captain Marvel in a standalone movie next year doesn't mean that she can't make an appearance in
Infinity War. In fact, maybe Marvel will use a cameo from the 28-year-old actress to build her character's story. How perf would that be?
After a bunch of leaked cast lists, slips of the tongue from directors and rumors of Brie on set, director
Joe Russo absolutely denied her role . So unless he was lying to the faces of every San Diego Comic Con audience member, it sounds like she was cut. Ugh, why?

Nebula will be killed by her father.
Karen Gillan as Nebula in Guardians of the Galaxy? It sounds like you're going to be seeing a lot of her in Infinity War because Thanos is her dad, after all! "I've been sworn to secrecy," she said in an interview. "But I definitely think that all of what we've been building towards, with all the backstories between Nebula and Thanos, is definitely going to come to a head in the Avengers film, and she's definitely going to confront all of those traumatic memories. I definitely think she is going to have her moment."
Unfortunately, most people think that
moment she mentioned is going to be her death. Yikes!

The Soul Stone is hidden in Wakanda's vibranium.
Soul Stone alert! People are thinking that the key to this mysterious Infinity Stone is hidden in plain sight in the
Black Panther movie. Who would have guessed? If you've seen the box-office hit, then you've definitely heard of the vibranium metal that keeps their community flourishing. But how did it become such a powerful material in the first place?
A lot of people think that its power is linked to the Soul Stone. It
is from outer space, after all! But in an interview with , director IGN Ryan Coogler said, "I love the Infinity Stones as much as any comic book fan, it's just Wakanda already has its thing, which is vibranium. For us, that was special enough, so to throw in something like another special thing didn't feel right."

Vision will die.
It's possible that Marvel was trying to trick us when they teased Vision's death in the
Infinity War trailer — but it's also possible that they weren't. See our dilemma? Considering this classic character has an Infinity Stone in his forehead that brought him to life, the fact that a couple of people are trying to rip it from his skin in the trailer is really not a good sign, if you ask us.
Ugh, but we hate thinking about Vision's death, so maybe it's time we move on! Who's next?

...And so will Loki.
We know, we know. The list of theorized deaths is getting pretty long between Captain America, Pepper Potts, Iron Man, Vision, and Nebula in the crosshairs — but you can go right ahead and add Loki to that list. That's right,
Tom Hiddleston's character might also be on his way out.
Since there are shots of him surrounded by Thanos's bad guy troupe, the Black Order, not to mention a shot of Thor being forced to watch something he doesn't want to, all signs point to Loki's death. We just hope these theories are wrong.
