Iggy Azalea Supports BFF Demi Lovato Following Shocking Relapse Reveal
Demi Lovato not only released a new song called “Sober” yesterday, but, in the process, also revealed that she relapsed using drugs and alcohol after six years of sobriety.
“We’ve been down this road before / I’m so sorry, I’m not sober anymore,” she belts out in the powerful ballad’s chorus.
The song obviously brought up tons of emotions for people — pride that she was brave enough to admit her sobriety journey hasn’t been without roadblocks, sadness that she had a relapse and so much more. Best friend Iggy Azalea wanted the 25-year-old singer to know that she’ll always support her, no matter what.
The 28-year-old tweeted yesterday, “Waking up listening to @ddlovato “sober”. Im proud of you for having the guts to reveal your truth to the world again. NOT. EASY. Im here for you friend! (you know this) I pray you’ll choose recovery again. All of us who love you only want to see you happy and heath.”
“I was there the day we sung you happy birthday for 6 years sober,” she continued. “I jumped a random persons fence in my PJs to come get you, even when you had no clue i was gonna pop up on your ass. lmao. I am prepared to keep doing crazy sh*t b*tch. 🤷♀️ deal with it cause I love you.”
As Demi sings in the final bars of her new song, “I’m sorry that I’m here again / I promise I’ll get help / It wasn’t my intention / I’m sorry to myself.”
And that’s all we can hope for. Stay strong!
