More Heartbreaking Details Emerge About Avicii’s Alleged Suicide
More details have emerged about Avicii‘s untimely death and the news just keeps getting more and more heartbreaking. The Swedish musician, whose real name was Tim Bergling, was found dead on April 20 in Muscat, Oman, at just 28 years old. The details surrounding his passing were not immediately know, but his family eventually made a statement that alluded to suicide as the cause.
“He really struggled with thoughts about Meaning, Life, Happiness,” the statement read. “He could not go on any longer. He wanted to find peace. Tim was not made for the business machine he found himself in; he was a sensitive guy who loved his fans but shunned the spotlight.”
Avicii’s cause of death is still not 100% confirmed, but TMZ reports that he did, in fact, take his own life and has graphic details of the day of his death. According to the site, “the method of death was a shard of glass that caused massive bleeding.”
He allegedly broke a glass bottle (possibly wine) and used one of the shards to inflict the injury on either his wrist or his neck.
We must stress that this report is not confirmed at this point. Whatever the case, his passing is incredibly tragic and left a huge hole in the music industry.
