Harry Styles & James Corden Under Fire for Kissing During Carpool Karaoke
One of the most-asked questions Harry Styles has gotten throughout his career is about his sexuality. The former One Direction has said things in the past that made people think he’s part of the LGBTQ+ community, and when he was asked about it by The Sun back in May, he replied, “I’ve never felt the need to really [label my sexuality]. No. I don’t feel like it’s something I’ve ever felt like I have to explain about myself.”
The 23-year-old is obviously very secure with himself, so it’s not all that surprising that when he appeared in James Corden‘s “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town” edition of Carpool Karaoke, he gladly obliged when the talk show host leaned in to give him a kiss.
Many of Hazza’s fans were thrilled to see this interaction between the longtime friends, which, by the way, has happened in the past, but some people didn’t like the fact that two presumedly straight (James is married to a woman and Harry hasn’t officially said he’s anything other than heterosexual) white men executed the opportunity as a type of “mockery” or “queerbait.”
Are ppl seriously talking about James Corden and Harry Styles kissing? Faux gay kissing stopped being newsworthy long ago, folks

I’d much rather celebrate two ordinary gay men kissing in public for what they do for visibility and normalising our relationships in the face of homophobia.
A jerk fest over two straight, celebrity men kissing “for the lols” or attention is tone deafhttps://t.co/A5Z1IRtOS5

yeah LGBT people LOVE it when straight people mock their lives for views and a laugh. Keep at it James! You're doing great… https://t.co/C8Bigl3Ukh

Other people, however, think there is absolutely nothing wrong with what Harry and James did, especially since it proves that the “Kiwi” singer is comfortable with his sexuality, even if he doesn’t want to label it.
harry is so comfortable in his sexuality he’s so endearing

I really feel so happy that Harry doesn't complain about his sexuality and doesn't care about what people say about him. I'm happy he is what he is.

As always, it’s important to remember that Harry’s sexuality is no one’s business except his own.
