A Harry Potter Version of Pokemon GO is Coming Next Year!
Remember last year when the world lost its mind and spent several months solid playing Pokemon Go?! That was wild and we loved it, but news that a Harry Potter version of the augmented reality game is coming soon is almost TOO exciting to handle, but it’s TRUE!
The app developer wizards (pun intended) at Niantic, the company that created Pokemon GO, are in the process of developing Harry Potter: Wizards Unite in partnership with Warner Bros., the studio behind all the movies.
Niantic released a statement about the game that read in part, “Players will learn spells, explore their real world neighborhoods and cities to discover and fight legendary beasts and team up with others to take down powerful enemies,” and that it will cater to “players that have been dreaming of becoming real-life wizards.” *raises hand*
Sounds too amazing for HP fans to even fathom! And luckily, we won’t have to wait too long to get virtually ~sorted~ and start turning our smartphones into wands, because the game is tentatively set for a 2018 release, which is right around the corner.
As you can probably expect, Potterheads are PUMPED about this upcoming release.
REMEMBER WHEN POKEMON GO WAS HUGE AND THERE WERE RUMORS ABOUT A SIMILAR VIRTUAL GAME FOR HP? ITS TRUE GUYS. OMG
