The Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery Game is Coming Sooner Than You Think

If there’s one thing we believe in wholeheartedly, it’s the fact that there’s no such thing as too much Harry Potter. So when we first found out that a new HP mobile game was in the works, we automatically dusted off our wands and started to practice our spells.

Jam City partnered with Warner Bros. to bring the Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery to life and it sounds like it’s going to be even better than we imagined! In the game, players join one of the four Hogwarts Houses before participating in magical classes and activities. As they improve their skills, they will be able to unlock new locations, spells and other magical abilities. One of the best parts of the game is that users will get to interact with other characters, who will be voiced by the actors from the movie!

Dame Maggie Smith will be voicing Professor McGonagall, Michael Gambon is coming back at Dumbledore and Warwick Davis will be showing up as Professor Flitwick! So while Harry, Ron and Hermione will NOT be present, it’ll still give you that IRL movie magic you’ve been craving.

And just when you thought this news couldn’t get any better, it turns out the game is set to launch on — drumroll, please — April 25th! Yes, just a few short weeks away!!

It’s important to note that Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is completely different than the other upcoming mobile game, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. Wizards Unite is being developed by the same company that produced Pokémon Go and will have a similar augmented reality vibe. That game is expected to launch later this year, which means we’ll eventually have not one, but TWO HP mobile games to have take over our lives. So excited!
