The 5 Best ‘Harlem Shake’ Vids…So Far
It’s official: the “Harlem Shake” has taken over not only YouTube, but the world! The catchy dance number has been popping up everywhere, it’s hard to keep up with all of them, so we decided to pick five of the best ones if you may have missed a few.
Check out our ranking below!
Our friends over at ClevverMusic tried their hand at a “Harlem Shake” video, and we definitely have to applaud their efforts. It’s pretty hysterical! Their costumes are pretty amazing.
5. Ariana Grande and Jennette McCurdy’s “Harlem Shake”
These are two of the funniest ladies around, so we’re not surprised they jumped on the “Harlem Shake” band wagon. Also, it sort of looks like our first (un)official sneak peek at their upcoming Nickelodeon show Sam & Cat!
4. “Harlem Shake” With My Son
Now, most “Harlem Shake” vids start off with a handful of people, then go into an all out crowd, but these this father/son duo managed to make one of the best “HS” vids with just the two of them. Plus they were one of the first people to post a “Harlem Shake” vid, so they get bonus points for that.
3. Harlem Shake Times Square NYC feat. NYPD
OK, we know we just said that you can make a good “HS” vid with only two people, but it’s also pretty amazing when you can coordinate with this many people. A vid of a crowd of people in Times Square was released this week, and they were got the NYPD involved. Major props!
2. The “Harlem Shake” v2
This was the very first “Harlem Shake” video we saw, and it remains one of our faves. There’s something about the simplicity of the group of guy friends in a room that shed their shirts and do the “Harlem Shake.” You can tell they didn’t really know what they were doing, and they were just trying to have fun, which we totally appreciate. Of course we love all the new ones, but these guys did it before the “Harlem Shake” is what it is today.
1. UGA Men’s Swim & Dive Harlem Shake
The best thing about the “Harlem Shake” videos is that it’s such a simple concept. Get a bunch of people to dance to 30 seconds of music, right? Well, these guys took things a step further and did the entire thing UNDERWATER! This is certainly mesmerizing to watch.
There really are SO many “Harlem Shake” videos, it was hard to choose! Are there any of your faves that we missed? Let us know in the comments!
