Halsey Drags The Chainsmokers at iHeartRadio Music Festival 2017
It was just a little over a year ago when we were blessed with quite possible the greatest collab of the year; one that blew through your speakers for probably months longer than it should’ve — and that collab would be “Closer” by Halsey and The Chainsmokers. So whether or not you agree with Halsey, we’re just hoping her comment was all in good fun, but thankfully, it seems that the main reason for not performing together was due to a conflict in packed schedules.
But this isn’t the first time an issues has gone down between Halsey and The Chainsmokers. Last year, Drew made fun of her appearance on Twitter, which led to Halsey unfollowing them. But it wasn’t long after the tweet went viral that Drew said his account was hacked, saying he would never tweet anything like that about one of his friends.
There seemed to be some peace following the rift, and neither Halsey nor The Chainsmokers have spoken out about her iHeart performance, so let’s just hope it was all in good fun as we wait for the next “Closer” banger to drop.
