Congratulations — One of Your Favorite YouTubers Welcomes First Child
Getting pregnant was simply not in the card for YouTube star GloZell Green, but after years of heartbreak as she suffered through infertility, the happy day is finally here — GloZell is a mom!!
The 44-year-old comedienne and her husband Kevin Simon welcomed their first child, a baby girl, via surrogate Shawna Johnson yesterday afternoon. O’Zell Gloriana De Green Simon was 8 lbs., 10 oz. and was 19.5 inches long.
The YouTuber’s rep confirmed the exciting news to People saying, “Shawna is doing great. GloZell and SK are overjoyed and their baby girl is healthy and adorable!”
The infant’s unique name has deep history and honors multiple members of the green-lipped star’s family. GloZell’s late dad’s name was O’Zell, her mom’s name is Gloria (where they got Gloriana), and her sister’s is DeOnzell (where they got De).
Upon hearing the good news, many of the new mom’s fellow YT stars reached out on social media to share their excitement and send congratulations to the growing family.
Congrats @GloZell to you and your beautiful family!

These celebrities also struggled with infertility, and actually all suffered a tragic miscarriage:
In her documentary Life is But A Dream, Bey briefly discusses the heartbreak that was listening for the heartbeat of the baby that was meant to come one year before Blue Ivy, and not hearing anything. She also sings about the tragedy in her song "Heaven," which she describes as the "saddest song [she's] ever written."
