It looks like some questions are being answered when it comes to Glee‘s future. Though there had been rumblings that the fifth season of the hit FOX show wouldn’t start until November, on Friday, a statement was released via Glee‘s Facebook page that reads:

“In light of the tragic passing of beloved GLEE cast member Cory Monteith, the series’ executive producers, 20th Century Fox Television and Fox Broadcasting Company have jointly decided to delay the start of production of GLEE until early August. Season Five of GLEE will now premiere on Thursday, Sept. 26 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.  No further details are available at this time.”

Production was scheduled to being in July, though the death of Cory Monteith has no doubt changed the course of the series. As mentioned, there is still no word on how they’ll incorporate the tragic news into the new season.

Are you glad Glee is coming back so soon? Or do you think they should have taken more time? Sound off in the comments section.
