Disney’s Girl Meets World Cast Mourns the Loss of Another One of Their Own
It was just a few months ago that the Girl Meets World cast faced the heartbreaking and sudden loss of their on-set teacher, Kate Edwards. And now, while the wounds are still very much open, the Disney Channel co-stars are dealing with another tragedy — the death of the show’s beloved composer, Ray Colcord.
The Emmy-nominated musician had been battling pancreatic cancer for quite some time before he succumbed to the illness on Friday. The 66 year old was most-recently responsible for creating GMW’s musical score, but had previously composed the Boy Meets World, Simpsons and Big Brother scores.
While Ray didn’t work directly with the cast on a regular basis, the entire GMW family is incredibly close and his loss is obviously affecting them greatly. Some stars such as Sabrina Carpenter and August Maturo shared their thoughts about Ray’s passing on Twitter:

We lost Ray Colcord after he fought like a warrior against cancer. Wrote music for us, BMW, Dinosaurs, many others. Will miss him terribly.
