The Jenners’ Racist Tendencies Are Apparently Rubbing Off on their BFF

Kendall and Kylie Jenner are no strangers to controversy, especially when it comes to being inadvertently racist. Kylie has faced TONS of backlash for various photoshoots, and while her older sis seems to avoid a lot of the fire, she still knows what it’s like to make mistakes. And now, while the Jenner sisters have stayed away from any racism-induced heat lately, their best friend has apparently picked up where they left off.
Supermodel Gigi Hadid recently landed the cover of Vogue Italia’s November issue and took to social media to share her shoot. But while fans were proud of the newly minted Victoria’s Secret model, they couldn’t get past one thing — she wore an afro in every shot.
The hairstyle, which is predominately rocked by African American people, understandably caused TONS of backlash.
Oh cool & Vogue Italy did a photo shoot w a white model wearing an afro because we've apparently learned nothing https://t.co/mcqz2fuZ0x

Instead of putting on an Afro wig on Gigi Hadid & make her look black. Why not just use a black model? pic.twitter.com/Wq75CoUi2z

@saradmahmoud lol I'm mocking Twitter feminists. Gigi Hadid wearing an Afro is wrong. U shouldn't assume I don't care at all.

Hey! Here's an idea: instead of putting an afro on Gigi Hadid, why not just HIRE A BLACK MODEL instead? pic.twitter.com/j0dNTqwgGu

…Gigi can just put on some extensions and suddenly the afro becomes "gorgeous," "amazing," and "stunning." Man, that cuts deep.

Neither Gigi nor Vogue has commented on the controversy as of yet.
