Gigi Hadid Suddenly Drops Out of 2017 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show
One model will be missing from the 2017 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show when it films in five days. Gigi Hadid announced earlier today that she will not be able to make the trip to Shanghai, China, to take place in the show, which airs on November 28.
The 22-year-old wrote on Twitter, “I’m so bummed I won’t be able to make it to China this year. Love my VS family, and will be with all my girls in spirit!! Can’t wait to tune in with everyone to see the beautiful show I know it will be, and already can’t wait for next year! x”

Gigi announced that she would be walking in her third VS Fashion Show back in August, sharing a throwback video from a previous fitting.
“Forever and ever and ever a dream come true to be asked back to the VS Show !!!” she wrote on Instagram. “Thank you my friends @ed_razek @10magazine @johndavidpfeiffer @monica.mitro for another unforgettable opportunity; every aspect makes me feel like a dreaming kid again.”
No one knows why Gigi decided to drop out of the show, but some people are wondering if it has anything to do with the controversy she faced after she was seen impersonating Buddha in an Instagram video back in February. When it was announced that the blonde would be heading to China for this year’s VSFS, people started commenting snakes on her IG account and telling her that she was not welcome in the country.
Gigi’s younger sister, Bella Hadid, is still slated to walk in the iconic runway show next week.
